T-Mobile in Greenock have been great supporters of Cash for Kids for many years: Moira Bradley and friends sometimes even manage to do their proper jobs between fundraising events!
Congratulations to Moira, who scooped The Evening Times Local Hero of the Year to complement her title of Inverclyde Woman of the Year won in February. She was nominated for both awards by her children (Lee and Amanda, pictured above with Moira after the ceremony) who are very proud of their mum – and rightly so!
Moira has helped raise an incredible £40,000 for Radio Clyde Cash for Kids over five years, by organising lots of fundraising events and activities at T-Mobile, and coordinating match funding from the company.

Cash for Kids fundraisers come from all sorts of backgrounds. The ambulance crews at the Scottish Ambulance Service held a pool tournament to raise £200: and the staff at EPR Heating Specialists donated a heating system to our Radio Auction and took part in Strip for Scotland as well, raising £6,000.
Strictly Cabaret 2008
Cash for Kids will be represented at this year’s sell-out event at Easterbrook Hall, Dumfries. South West Sound Station Director Fiona Blackwood (pictured left) will be dancing and Tommy Jardine, Drivetime Presenter, will be singing to their themed event “The West Sound Story”. Tommy’s wife Margaret has also been talked into taking part. The event takes place over three nights in front of over 1400 people. Nine various charities will take part and benefit from the evenings. Cash for Kids is sponsored by South West Sound for the event: our thanks to CSV for our T-shirts.
Well done to everyone who’s raised money for Cash for Kids!
A huge thanks to Sir Tom Hunter who will match all the money in the collecting cans in USC, d2, Office and Qube Stores across Glasgow and the West.
The Fundraising Continues…
Well done to everyone who supported and raised money for the 2007 Cash for Kids Appeal, but the fundraising continues this year.
Good luck to Vicky Keirle and the team at Motherwell Social Work Children & Families Department who are climbing Ben Nevis on 24th May all in aid of Cash for Kids.
A huge thank you to students Neil, Kristopher, Nayar and Neil from Glasgow Metropolitan College for registering to fundraise for Cash for Kids, as part of their course work they are holding a Cakes for Kids event on 24th April within the college’s Cathedral Campus.
