Where do my donated clothes and textiles end up?

Donated clothing is sorted into grades for much needed, affordable clothing in Africa and other third world countries. Remember, what you deem as unusable, have outgrown or consider unfashionable are welcomed by others. Clothing not suitable for export is cut and recycled into wiping cloths for industry.

All this massively reduces land fill.

How much money is raised for Radio Clyde’s Cash for Kids?

Cash for kids are paid per Kg of clothing that has been donated. For every full black bag of clothing, Cash for Kids receives approximately £2.00—£2.25.

Who is City Reclamation?

City Reclamation Ltd is a company based in Glasgow. They have been recycling textiles for twenty years and have an impeccable reputation in the industry collecting unwanted clothing donations from many of Britain’s leading charities.

Will my donation affect supplies to other organisations and charity shops?

No—the opposite. We believe we are creating “textile recycling awareness” that will only benefit clothing donations to charities.
